Once someone decides to have a facelift, one of the first questions they have usually pertains to the recovery time.  Depending on the type of facelift you receive, recovery and healing can last anywhere from one week to several weeks.  It is highly recommended that a person that receives a facelift does not drive home after the procedure.

Facelift patients can expect a number of things after the procedure.  This includes some swelling, numbing of the skin and some skin discoloration.  All incisions made will have temporary scarring and should be kept clean and dry until the surgeon indicates that showering or bathing is okay.

At Garlich Facial Plastic Surgery, we recommend asking as many questions as you can prior to your facelift.  We want to make sure all of our patients are comfortable and have all the information they need prior to making the decision to having a facelift.  Contact us today if you would like to learn more about the recovery process or if you have general questions about undergoing a facelift.
